Avantis4E is managed by Anthony Dols MSc. who has than 27 years working experience in and with the energy sector.
From 1981 to 1990 he worked for Shell's E&P division in Far East, Middle East and Europe.
He has experience as Project manager, Project economist and Corporate Training Director.
In 1990 he joined the banking sector ands spent 15 years at ABN AMRO as an Energy and
Commodities Banker to many Oil & Gas, Utility and Mining companies around the world. He has
broad expertise in amongst others Project Finance, M&A, Debt and Equity markets, Risk management.
In 2005 he started his own firm (SDE Bv) with the vision to foster sustainable development of
energy sources and businesses. In the same year he joined the newly established European Climate
Exchange BV a trading platform for emission rights in the EU ETS as Managing Director Business
Development. He gained experience of the both mandatory and voluntary carbon markets including CDM.
Early 2007 he joined Standard Chartered Bank in DIFC Dubai as Managing Director and MENA Regional
Head of the newly established Commodities team. End 2008 he left the bank to establish Avantis4E.
Anthony holds an MSc degree (1981) in Mechanical Engineering of Technical University Twente,
The Netherlands. His thesis was in offshore engineering.
Anthony has during his career been a speaker and chairman at several leading industry events
such as the annual Flame European Gas conference, CERA Week, Asian Oil & Gas conference, Middle
Eastern Oil & Gas conference, Indian Oil & Gas Conference, and the IHT Oil & Money event.
Anthony has developed a close network of trusted partners that can form flexible teams to support Avants4E’s activities.
