The Energy sector plays a pivotal role in any society and security of supply and
reasonable prices are key issues for industry and policy makers. Even in resource
rich regions such as the Middle East these challenges prevail.
The Middle East is one of the fastest growing users of energy. Whilst it has a
greater access to cheaper oil and gas than many industrialized regions, there is a
significant interest at the policy level to diversify the supply to other energy
sources such as renewables and nuclear. The climate change agenda and the notion
that the Middle East is a significant emitter of pollutants and Green House Gases
(GHGs) have also led to several initiatives that aim at a reduction of these emissions.
And there is an increased interest in the region in making use of the possibilities
that Carbon trading schemes offer to support investments in GHG abatement.
All these issues have created a significant interest for reviewing all activities
in the energy value chain and to define solutions that can achieve an increase in
energy efficiency and a reduction of the impact on the environment in an economic
fashion.
Avantis4E is passionate about contributing to solutions and is responding to the
demand for advisory, education & training, and for assistance in the field of
finance to attract the funds, both equity and debt, to support the implementation
of sustainable energy projects that have defined benefits for businesses and the society.
